One of the blessings of being both an intuitive and an artist is that I get to use both skills. I began sketching after meditation some time ago and discovered how much joy I felt after.  I realized that I was more deeply connecting with the Divine and allowing them to work through me rather than me trying so hard to to "earn the skills". It's infintely easier to allow than resist.

When I channel and invite a divine entity to speak through me, I must also set aside my ego and not judge. Because the divine is always right. It is when I judge the mail I'm delivering that I constrict the message or even the art. I've also discovered that when I get my ego out of the way and allow the Divine to guide my pen and provide me with visions, I'm able to draw things my inner critic (or critical mind or my inner engineer) typically tells me "You are incapable of drawing that, so why try." or "you've never drawn that. you can't. don't try because you'll fail." Thanks to quotes from spiritualists like Francis Scovel Shinn,  "Anything is possible here and now.  I now attain the seemingly unattainable. Now is the appointed time. Today is the day of amazing prosperity.", I am letting go and letting God. I am trusting. As such, my artwork has excelled beyond my wildest expectations.

Inspired by what I was creating, I offered my clients Spirit Guide Sketches at the Meeker Mansion Psychic Fair a couple weeks ago.  People were delighted. I loved sensing them open up, ask questions, and approach the channeled being sketch I was creating with a sort of reverence. This was after all one of their guides who came through me to deliver a message to them.  When they leave, they get to keep the sketch.  It's a really wonderful tool they can then use to further develop their own connection to their soul and guides. Frankly, I think we desperately need to reconnect with our own Divinity.

It fills me with love knowing my work, combined of my own spiritual path and art, helps another. That is one of the reasons I was gifted with the ability to create art. Usually, I create my pieces for someone. I rarely know who they are, what they look like, or anything about them. I just know that I am creating this for one person. And when the time is right, they will appear and my artwork will call to the depths of their soul with the utmost love and respect.

After sketching for many clients, I felt called to sketch local spirit guardians. The fae who reside and care for various areas. Oh my goodness this was fun.  Because I had more time, I rounded them out with colored pencil rather than just pen & ink.  I was really surprised by who appeared. I don't normally "see" them in the form that I sketched them. I am clarvoyant (seeing in the minds eye), clairaudient (hearing), and clairsentient (feeling/sensing) and claircogniscent (knowing).   Typically with spirits I sense or know of their presence and occasionally see lights that flash - blue, green, white, black, etc. So, seeing them in the form as transpired on the paper was really a delight.

More soon on the spirit guardians. I'm working on miniature versions of them.

Right after I launched into Spirit Guide sketches, I offered a giveaway on Facebook and Instagram which was my heart string tugging sacrifice for the last Full Moon - free spirit guide drawings to 10 people. I have sketched 6 of the guides so far and will have the rest completed shortly.  I'll be sharing those soon too!
