So for the entire weekend, I let colors roll around in my head observing what colors kept coming up again. I noticed what outfits I tended to grab from my closet and what colors they were. I wondered, do I even have a "seasonal" palette? Or am I a 365 tropical skittles rainbow?
What Has My Attention Now:
Paired with Purple must be a Green (Neon Green or Seafoam) or Orange (usually more of a Salmon). It appears I am on the path of the Secondary Complimentary Color Trio of Purple, Green, Orange. I've noticed this as a popular choice in trendy fashion and athletic sports clothing, but it may already be on its way out. Marcy Tilton did let us know that Paris is all about Orange right now in her post Friday about The Paris Coat. Though, like Elle, I do find it odd that I'm completely disregarding my signature color, Pink.
What is Left Out
Using the Stash & Current Projects
Already on my cutting table is a pullover fleece that is mainly navy. What I was thinking when I bought this, I'm not sure. Navy? Eeew. It's a nice rich blue, but I will spice it up with some fun print that accents in aqua and white. That's not remotely close to purple, green and orange. It feels like an entirely different world. How will I be able to wear that fleece with my chosen palette? A challenge I will eagerly take on. I don't have the answer, but I will take it step by step always choosing to find a way to step forward.
Interestingly enough, several other projects I've begun to plan are falling into the "blues and whites" category. Maybe those will be my neutrals. It would be really interesting and quite unusual wouldn't it? Blue and orange are great together. Cool colors always fun. But some of those colors above don't not pop with navy. I tried laying some next to the navy microfleece already. Dreary.
Well, I have given myself something fun to work on, eh b'y?
Now to you, my friends.
